Bressanone/Brixen's local mountain, the Plose, is just about seven kilometres away from the town and can be reached both by car and by public transport. Once you’ve arrived at the bottom station, the Plose cable car takes you directly to the hiking area in just a few minutes. You can already enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and the surrounding mountain ranges during the cable car trip. Finally, having arrived at the top station at 2,050 m above sea level, you will have a panoramic view of almost 360 degrees!

The recreational mountain’s cable car also runs in summer from the end of May to the beginning/middle of October. The other lifts are also partly open in summer. The winter season on the Plose lasts from the beginning of December to the end of March. Seven ski lifts, numerous inviting ski huts and restaurants, a fun park for freestylers and over 40 kilometres of slopes await you on the hip ski mountain. Our hotel guests will also find the longest downhill run in South Tyrol on the Plose: the legendary Trametsch! Plose, one of the sunniest ski resorts in South Tyrol, is only a short drive away from our hotel.

Snowshoeing, tobogganing & ski tours
If you prefer another kind of winter sport, you will also find what you’re looking for at our hotel near the Plose. Discover the ski area’s enchanting winter hiking trails on snowshoes, conquer the Grosse Gabler on a ski tour or feel the adrenaline rush on a rapid toboggan run on the nine kilometre long RudiRun toboggan run, one of the longest in South Tyrol, which leads from the cable car’s top station to the bottom station. The Malga de Cavallo/Rossalm-Valcroce/Kreuztal toboggan run, on the other hand, is particularly suitable for tobogganing with the little ones.
Plose Night: The Plose cable car is open every Friday evening from January to mid-March. Treat yourself to a night excursion from our hotel up the Plose. Hike through the winter ski area, treat yourself to a snack in one of the open restaurants and then toboggan down the floodlit RudiRun toboggan run to the bottom station.
